Terms of Service

Last updated: September 03, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of WhatsNew ("the Service"), operated by Paperstick Software FZE ("we", "us"). The product home is whatsnew.app. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

WhatsNew lets you publish a public changelog and optional links page. Existing customer pages stay on whatsnew.co/yourname (or the @yourname form while we transition). New pages may be served at yourname.whatsnew.co. You manage your page from the dashboard at whatsnew.app. Features, limits, and availability may change as we improve the product.

2. Public page addresses

Your handle (username) is part of the public address visitors use to reach your page. For new pages, that address may be a hostname under whatsnew.co (for example, yourname.whatsnew.co). You do not receive any particular hostname in perpetuity.

You may not choose a handle that is reserved for infrastructure, conflicts with a system route, looks official or internal, or is otherwise deceptive. We may refuse a handle at signup, ask you to choose a different one, or change how a page is addressed if needed to protect the Service or other users.

If you hide or unpublish a page, the public webpage is taken down (including permalinks and the links page). RSS for that page stays available while billing is current. If we suspend a page for abuse or policy violations, or billing access ends, the page is taken down in full: webpage, RSS, and any other public delivery. You can still sign in, view your content in the dashboard, and export it unless your account is terminated under section 6.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when you register. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit (for example, link titles and URLs, update text, images, and embeds). You grant us a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate the Service, including showing it on your public pages.

You are responsible for your content and for complying with applicable law.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to host or link to malware, spam, phishing, adult material, gambling, crypto-asset promotion, unlawful material, or content that infringes others' rights. You may not impersonate WhatsNew, Paperstick, another organisation, or any official or internal service. You may not probe or attack our systems, scrape in a way that harms performance, or attempt to access data you are not authorized to see.

Report abuse to [email protected]. We may suspend a public page, refuse or change a handle, or terminate access for violations. Where practicable, we aim to email the account owner before or when we take action.

6. Fees and billing

Paid plans are billed according to the pricing and payment terms shown at checkout and in your account. Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval you select until you cancel. You can turn off renewal through Stripe's billing portal from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period and stops future charges. Stopping renewal does not by itself refund fees already collected unless applicable law or the refund terms below apply.

Payment processor. We use Stripe to process payments. Stripe handles card details, receipts, and invoices. Any additional terms Stripe presents during checkout apply to the payment in addition to these Terms. Stripe's services agreement applies to payments processed by Stripe.

Refund policy. Paperstick Software FZE offers a refund window of 14 calendar days from the date Stripe charged your payment method for a subscription payment. Within that window, you may request a full refund of that subscription fee by emailing [email protected]. After the 14-day window, subscription fees are not refunded except where required by applicable consumer law. If you think a charge is wrong or you have a statutory right to cancel or refund, contact us at [email protected] and we will address it consistent with these Terms and the law.

Taxes may apply where required and may be collected as shown at checkout.

7. Termination and retention

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the Service (where we will aim to give reasonable notice when practicable).

If your trial ends without a payment method, or your subscription expires or is canceled, your public page goes offline in full — the webpage and RSS included. Sign in to renew from your account. We keep your content for 30 days, then email you a full export and start a final 30-day window before deletion — 60 days total from when the trial ended. Deletion is permanent. See Pricing and billing for details. You can export your pages anytime while signed in from your account.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim (or, if none, fifty dollars). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and refresh the date shown above when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
