Feedjoy

Product Hunt Special Cards used to look thin because they pulled a mixed ranking feed. They now show that Pacific day's top 10 featured launches. Open the card for the day's products. The preview still shows the top four titles. Opening a product goes to Product Hunt in a new tab, like YouTube.

Each post shows the tagline under the title and a small link to the product site, without an RSS label. Outbound links show the clean URL instead of View original. On Following, Product Hunt is just the site you pasted. No extra Feed line.

Paste a show or episode link from Apple Podcasts on Follow. Feedjoy follows the show and new episodes appear in your Feed like any other RSS follow. If the show hides its feed from Apple, you'll still see Couldn't reach.

Empty follows used to offer Remove only, so you couldn't Archive them. Archive is always available now. Delete (was Remove) still only shows when nothing was ever imported. If there are already posts, Archive keeps them in Seen.

Special Cards

Reddit, Product Hunt, and Hacker News used to fill your Feed and email with dozens of separate posts a day. Now each one shows up as a single card per day, with the latest titles and how many posts are still Unseen. Open the card to read that day's posts and mark them off one at a time. Your other follows still show every post.

In your email summary, Special Card posts stay Unseen so you can still find them in Feed. Everything else in the email is marked Seen when it sends. The email covers yesterday (UTC) and goes out just after midnight.

Following and adding

After you add or edit a follow, Last checked updates on the Following list when the check finishes. No reload needed.

www and non-www links to the same Reddit subreddit or Product Hunt count as one follow.

If a follow never got any posts, you can Remove it. Once at least one post arrives, you can only Archive it so those posts stay in Seen.

Email summary

Once a day, Feedjoy sends what you haven't seen since your last summary. Posts in the email are marked Seen in your Feed, same as opening them in the app. On by default. Turn it off on Menu. Requires Feedjoy Pro when billing is on.

Menu

Bottom nav is Feed, Following, and Menu. Email summary is at the top, then Feedback, Account, Feedjoy Pro, and What's new. Sign out sits at the bottom.

Feedjoy Pro trial

When your Feedjoy Pro trial hits the last 5 days, the app and summary email show how many days you have left. Add 15 days from the banner, Feedjoy Pro, or the link in the email.

Suggestions

Not sure what to follow? On Follow, tap a suggestion to fill the link field. New accounts see a few picks up front; See all opens the full list.

Follow

Paste a link without https://. Feedjoy adds it for you.

Reddit and Product Hunt

Reddit and Product Hunt links did not work on Follow. They do now.

Archived follows

Paste an archived link again and Feedjoy asks if you want to unarchive it.

Couldn't reach

When a follow fails, Following says what went wrong. Try again or edit the link from there.

Report this opens Feedback with the follow filled in. Cancel takes you back where you were.

Archive sits next to Edit and Try again on failed follows.

You stay signed in when you come back to Feedjoy later. No more signing in again after stepping away for a while.

The first time you sign in, you get a short hello and one optional question: what made you want to try Feedjoy? Leave a note or skip straight to your feed. You can also turn on Feedjoy updates right there, so your feed starts with something to read. Either way, you need to finish this once before the app opens up.

Feedback

Feedback is in the header once you are in. Write to Rinas about what is working, what is not, or what you would like to see. You will see his replies there, and he can reply by email too. Start as many threads as you like.

Feedjoy now has a What's new page at feedjoy.app/updates. That's where we post what shipped.
You can follow it like any other source. Add it from the What's new page or from Following, and our updates land in your Feed with everything else.
Following now lists your sources newest first. The link to What's new lives there too.

Follow by URL

Paste a link to an RSS feed or a YouTube channel on Follow. Feedjoy tells them apart. No type picker.

Feed

Feed is home. Unseen is what you have not opened. Open an entry and it moves to Seen. No button for that.
Following lists your sources. Each row shows Last checked. When a check fails, you see Couldn't reach and can tap Try again.

Edit and archive

Wrong URL? Edit it. Done with a source? Archive it. Seen history stays. Archived follows sit under Following, then Archived.
Tap a follow's name to see just that source in Unseen and Seen.

Reading

RSS opens in the app when we have text. YouTube opens on YouTube. Title only, no thumbnails.

We import the three newest posts when you add a follow.

Email

One email when your first follow has posts. No digests after that. Open the app when you want more.
